However, our Fallboard Decelerator is now widely used in various applications. Carpenters, furniture makers, and joiners integrate our soft-close solution into flaps and lids when building chests, benches, or boxes.
Its function is remarkably simple, and the module remains almost invisible when installed. The installation effort is minimal, and the Fallboard Decelerator is fully operational in no time.
The Reinert® Fallboard Decelerator consists of a braking unit and a pressure pin. The braking unit operates on the principle of an oil brake—simple yet effective.
A Universal Genius – The Reinert® Fallboard Decelerator can be easily retrofitted into any flap that moves around a pivot point, such as a hinge. The integrated adjustment mechanism allows for individual customization of closing speed, closing time, and flap weight. The closing motion can be seamlessly adjusted from slow and controlled to quick and smooth.
Our Reinert® Fallboard Decelerator is ideal as a flap damper, soft-close, or soft-fall system for piano lids and other flaps, such as lids on chests or benches.
